Jo L’acqua is more than just a jewellery brand—it’s a movement, a reminder that true beauty comes from within. It was founded by Joanna Kalmuczak, a mother, entrepreneur, and a woman who understands the struggles of self-worth and confidence.

Joanna’s journey began at the age of 24 when she moved to the UK in 2003, unable to speak a single word of English. Determined to build a new life, she worked tirelessly in various jobs, learning the language, improving her skills, and searching for her purpose. Along the way, she noticed a pattern—wherever she went, she met women who struggled with self-esteem. They feared judgment, compared themselves to unrealistic beauty standards, and often didn’t see their own worth.

She made a promise to herself—to age with dignity, to protect her mental well-being, and to raise her daughter in a world where beauty isn’t defined by perfection, but by confidence, kindness, and self-acceptance.
